Uff... I wasn't sure if I would ever write an editorial for Strike-to-Stun again. To be honest, in the last two years I often thought about closing down. On the one hand it is a lot of work to keep the site running (with all the problems I had with hackers, envious fansite-admins, etc.) . On the other hand what is an online magazine without articles.... In the beginning of StS in 2001 I got a lot of contributions, adventures etc. But then the contributions became less and less. Also the qualitiy of some stuff I got was ... uhmm... of dubious quality. Together with my job and the college not the best situation to run a fan-site.

But then, about a year ago a lot of things changed:

I learned that the dark years without an official publisher would be over soon with the release of the second edition of WFRP2. Now it was even harder to me to make a decission. Either stop the whole thing in time or continue it. I decided to carry on, at least unitl autumn 2004. Then Critical Hit forums closed and a lot of CH-members joined the StS-forum. Also some people from the WFRP-community (one guy especially) that where jealous about the new visitors StS got, started hacking my my site. At this time I was nearly finished with it all. I wanted to quit! I asked myself: "For what am I doing this???". But the sympathies of the WFRP-fans, especially the guys from the forum forced me to continue.

No, not just continue. I'm planning to completely relaunch the site. As you might imagine, this will not happen overnight. To be honest, a realistic date for the relaunch will be around the end of 2005. Its a pity that I'm not able to relaunch the site together with the release of WFRP2, but I simply cannot do what I plan with StS in two or three weeks. I got the opportunity to do the relaunch of the site as diploma-project at college. So I have two programmers who will help me with redesigning and programming the site. As this is a very ambitious project I need your help to realize it. I would be happy to hear your opinions about my plans...

In the meantime I'll try to upload some new stuff for you WFRP-fans out there. I have a good feeling for the next years...
