Special Characters
Tzarina Katarin, the Ice Queen of Kislev
308 points including Fearfrost
Your army may include the Tzarina as a Lord character if you
wish. If you choose her, she will occupy the slot for a Hero
in addition to that of a Lord. She may be the army's General,
but this is not a requirement.
The Tzarina Katarin is the current ruler of Kislev, having
succeeded to the throne on the death of her father. She is
the most powerful Ice Mage ever to wear the crown of Kislev
and her aloof majesty and inscrutable disposition have caused
many to refer to her as the Ice Queen. She is so suffused
with magic that her flesh is cold and pale, and her limbs
are long and lean like icicles. Her hair glistens with frost
and ice crystals sparkle on her lofty crown.

Equipment: The
Tzarina carries the magical weapon Fearfrost and rides a warhorse.
Magic: The Tzarina is a Level 3 Wizard. She uses spells from
the Lore of Ice spell list.
Options:
· The Tzarina's warhorse may wear barding for +6 points.
· As a sign of her status, the Tzarina may take up
to 50 points of additional magic items from the Kislev or
Common magic items list.
Fearfrost [magic weapon]
. 100 points
Forged by the ancient khan-queen Miska the Slaughterer before
the first Gospodar tribes journeyed west, she wielded this
weapon in the two great battles against the Empire before
settling into the lands north of the Urskoy River.
Since that time, Fearfrost has been an heirloom to the reigning
Tzarina of Kislev. Not even the men of Kislev who ascend to
power, the Tzars, are able to touch this lethal weapon.
Any model wounded by Fearfrost (after any Armor Saves and
Ward Saves have been taken) suffers an additional d6 wounds.
Armor saves from normal armor are not allowed against the
intense cold radiating from the weapon, and only magic armor
permits an armor save against Fearfrost.
Miska the slaughterer, Khan-queen of Kislev
275 points including Fearfrost
Your army may include Miska as a Lord character. If you do
so, she will also use one Hero slot along with a Lord slot
in the Army character list. She must be the army's General
if she is used.
Without doubt, Miska the Slaughterer is the most famous of
the Khan-Queens. She is the daughter of Boris Ursa, the Forever
Tzar, and it was she who led the many tribes of the Eastern
Steppes across the World's Edge Mountains into, what is now
known as, Kislev.
Miska sported wild black hair and filed her teeth into sharpened
fangs like her savage ancestors before her. A master of both,
magic and arms, she has been sainted by the church of Kislev
and by her descendants, the Amazons of Lustria.

Equipment: Miska
carries the magical weapon Fearfrost, described under the
profile of Tzarina Katarin.
Magic: Miska the Slaughterer is a Level 3 Wizard. She uses
spells from the Lore of Ice spell list.
Options:
· Miska may ride a warhorse for +15 points, which may
be barded for an additional +6 points.
· As a sign of her status, Miska may take up to 50
points of additional magic items from the Kislev or Common
magic items list.
Special Rules: Miska is a maniacal warrior Queen who revels
in the blood of her enemies. She is subject to the rules of
Frenzy detailed in the Warhammer rulebook. Her bouts of Frenzy
strike her as soon as an enemy comes within her Charge range
(regardless of whether they are actually in her charge arc).
Once this condition sets in, she may no longer cast magic
spells as she is completely focused on the anticipated bloodshed.
She may only go back to casting magical spells if her frenzied
condition is broken (she loses a round of combat). She may
still attempt to dispel, and contribute power dice to the
magic pool as a normal 3rd level Wizard.
Ivan the Terrible
175 points including Bloodedge.
Your army may include Ivan the Terrible as a Lord Character.
He cannot be your army's General, as he is too ruthless and
distrusted by the troops to lead them.
Ivan the Terrible is a dark legend amongst the Kislevites.
Perhaps the most feared Tzar of them all, his courage and
intelligence were tainted by an unreasoning rage. Legend has
it that he had a dream of a man named Melnikov who toppled
his regime. As a consequence of this dream, he had every citizen
with the name Melnikov summarily beheaded! He taxed the people
of Kislev excessively and thousands died during his reign.
Despite his notorious reputation, Ivan did well for the kingdom
of Kislev. He was never beaten on the battlefield and his
rigid guidelines for conscription, organizing the military,
and forging alliances with the Dwarfs and the Empire made
Kislev what it is today. Had it not been for Ivan, Kislev
may well be a part of Norsca or the Realm of Chaos.

Equipment: Ivan wears a suit of heavy
armor and wields the enchanted blade Bloodedge in addition
to a long dagger used as an additional hand weapon.
Save: 5+
Options:
· As a Lord character, Ivan may carry an additional
50 points in magic items, but he must wield Bloodedge as his
primary weapon.
Special Rules: Ivan is a ruthless murderer with no respect
for human life. He is subject to Hatred against all opponents
in combat.
In combat, Ivan wields an additional hand weapon along with
Bloodedge. This essentially gives him 4 attacks in close combat:
3 with Bloodedge and 1 with the additional weapon.
Bloodedge [magic weapon]
. 50 points
Koshei the Immortal to combat the Goblinoids of his time forged
this dreaded weapon. Unfortunately, the power of the weapon
passes some of its madness on to the wielder himself! The
weapon's undying thirst for blood and pain enables it to radiate
an evil magic that causes living beings nearby to break out
in bleeding sores and cuts. The writhe in agony as their flesh
splits and erupts, tearing itself from their bones.
At the start of every close combat phase, the Bloodedge will
inflict an automatic wound on each living model in base contact
with its wielder on a d6 roll of 5+. Roll for each model in
base contact at the start of the phase. The wounds are automatic
and only Ward Saves are permitted against this weapon.
The Bloodedge affects friend and foe alike, which leads to
reason that Ivan the Terrible may not ride any mount or join
any unit.
In normal combat, Bloodedge is a magical weapon that has a
-2 saving throw modifier against wounds caused by the weapon.
In addition, it confers a +1 strength bonus to the bearer
when in close combat against Goblinoids (Orcs, Goblins, Squigs,
Snotlings and Hobgoblins).
Boris Ursa, the forever Tzar
165 points including Father Bear
Your army may include Boris Ursa as a Lord character, in which
case, he must be your army's General.
The father of the famed Miska the Slaughterer, Boris is the
first officially recorded Tzar of the Kislevites. He ruled
the Godspodar people prior to their migration to Kislev, and
departed on a prolonged gulag after his daughter Miska brutally
murdered her siblings. Boris established an abbey high in
the World's Edge Mountains and founded the Sons of Ursa as
loyal keepers of the peace. His befriending of the Dwarfs
is legendary among the Norse, Kislevites and the Dwarf histories.
In his absence, Miska married, then murdered her first husband
prior to leading the Kislevites over the World's Edge Mountains
(it is thought she was seeking out her father). When the first
initial battles with the Empire erupted, the Dwarfs joined
them to defend their borders. Boris returned to his people
and brokered a lasting peace between the Kislevites and their
southern neighbors in order to prevent bloodshed between his
befriended Dwarf-kin and his native people.
Boris' first wife, Miska's mother, died of illness prior to
Miska's bizarre purge of her brother and sisters. Amazingly,
Boris married another upon his return to Kislev, who bore
him a son and subsequent heir to the throne. Boris outlived
his legendary daughter Miska- who had no heirs, and witnessed
his son Dieter I ascend to the throne before his passing.
Boris' remarkable diplomatic skills, and his ability to outlive
almost all of his relatives bore him the title "Forever
Tzar."

Equipment: Boris
wears a suit of heavy armor and carries a shield. He is armed
with a sword (hand weapon). He rides upon "Father Bear",
the greatest Ursine to be tamed by a man.
Options:
· Boris may take up to 50 points in magical items from
the Kislev or Common magic items lists.
Special Rules: Boris is Immune to Psychology, although he
must make Break tests normally. His many years spent with
the Dwarfs taught him many things, one of which is the Slayer
Skill. He will wound any enemy on a roll of 4+ regardless
of the opponent's Toughness. If his strength is such that
the opponent may be wounded on a roll lower than 4+, then
use the normal strength vs. toughness calculation To Wound.
Father Bear is treated as a monstrous mount that causes fear.
If the scores a hit with two attacks he may combine them into
a single Strength 8 hit. If he scores a hit with all three
attacks he may combine them into a single Strength 10 hit
that will kill the opponent outright if a wound is caused.
These attacks may only be used against opponents with a unit
strength of 2 or less.
Tzar Sultan of Praag
180 points including the Black Blade
Your army may include Tzar Sultan as a Lord character. He
may be your army's General if you wish.
Tzar Sultan is the bitter ruler of Praag, the city overrun
by the minions of Chaos during the last great Chaos incursion.
Every day is torture for him as the city continues to haunt
and remind him of the pain and suffering endured during that
horrid occupation. He seeks nothing more than to quell these
inner demons by dispatching the followers of Chaos as quickly
and thoroughly as possible.

Equipment: Saltan wears plate mail
armor from the Empire, carries a shield and the Black
Blade. He always rides a barded warhorse.
Save: 1+
Special Rules: When fighting against Chaos, Tzar Saltan must
always issue a challenge, and must always accept a challenge
if one is issued. During a challenge with a Chaos character,
Tzar Saltan gains a +1 bonus to his Strength and Toughness.
Tzar Saltan has been taunted by twisted visions of horror
for so long that he is Immune to Psychology, although he must
still make Break tests normally.
The Black Blade [magic weapon]
. 50 points
The Black Blade is a scimitar of unknown metal, but it's potency
can't be denied. The shimmering, black shadows cast off by
waving the blade in the air makes it difficult to hit the
wielder in close combat. Opponents have a -1 to hit penalty
against the wielder of the Black Blade. In addition, the Black
Blade confers a +1 Strength bonus to it's wielder in close
combat.
